About Us

Greenleaf Resources, LLC was established in 2004 for the purpose of providing educational materials, training, and support for professionals working in the areas of grief, loss, and trauma.

Professionals in mental health, healthcare, faith-based organizations, funeral homes, or the military are confronted on an on-going basis with individuals and groups coping with personal grief and loss. It's important to have resources available to assist people in their journey through grief. Because the work is difficult, it's equally important for professionals to utilize self-caring measures in order to continue to work effectively in their professional roles.

Since the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, the New York City World Trade Center attack in 2001, and the most recent natural disaster along the Gulf Coast, there is more need than ever for professionals to provide on-going support for survivors, not only as they cope with individual losses, but also with traumatic events of national and global enormity.

Because of the nature of the work and the fact that professionals who are drawn to this arena are highly compassionate, the likelihood of secondary traumatization and compassion fatigue is very high. Our goal is to support you in your work by  providing educational seminars, individual consultation, and programs that have been developed over the years. Our hope is that by sharing our experiences and what we’ve learned in our work with grief, loss, and trauma, you will continue to do the valuable work that is needed throughout the country and the world.
